Konkani Catholic Sangh Hosts Inspirational Lenten Retreat at Christ The King Church, Yeshwanthpur

On the auspicious date of March 3rd, 2024, the community of Yeshwanthpur, Bangalore, gathered in solemn reverence for an enlightening Lenten retreat, meticulously organized by the Konkani Catholic Sangh. Held amidst the tranquil surroundings of Christ The King Church, this spiritual congregation witnessed a day of profound reflection and renewal, guided by the esteemed preacher, Rev. Fr. Cyril Lobo.





From the commencement of the retreat at 10 am until its reverent culmination with a celebration of holy mass at 5 pm, attendees embarked on a journey of spiritual introspection. Over 250 devout individuals embraced the opportunity for prayer and contemplation, seeking solace and guidance amidst the Lenten season.





The ambiance was further enriched by moments of fellowship and sustenance, as participants were graciously provided with a nourishing lunch during the afternoon interlude, followed by light refreshments in the evening.

In a heartfelt gesture of appreciation, the parish priest, Rev. Fr. Norman Bernard, extended sincere gratitude to Rev. Fr. Cyril Lobo for orchestrating a retreat characterized by its melodic resonance and profound spiritual insights. The Reverend's soulful rendition of spiritual hymns and enlightening discourse left an indelible mark on the hearts and minds of those in attendance.

In recognition of his exemplary service and unwavering dedication, Rev. Fr. Cyril Lobo was duly honored by both the Parish Priest and the esteemed members of the Konkani Catholic Sangh committee. His tireless efforts in nurturing the faith community and guiding souls towards spiritual enlightenment were acknowledged with heartfelt reverence.

The proceedings culminated with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Robert Cutinha, the president of the Konkani Catholic Sangh. His words of gratitude encapsulated the collective sentiment of appreciation towards all those who contributed to the success of this spiritually enriching event.
