As part of our Lenten Outreach program, the Indiranagar Konkani Kutam (IKK) spent a truly
moving Sunday on 15th March visiting the children of Jeevitha Ashrama in Thambuchetty Palya,
Bangalore. Led by our President, Mr. Silvian Noronha, a group of ten members, including Fr.
Rahul D’Souza , joined hands to share a day of love and companionship with the residents.
About Jeevitha Ashrama
For over 23 years, this dedicated, women-run orphanage has been a sanctuary for
underprivileged children. It provides much more than just a roof, it offers a safe home, quality
education, and a disciplined, nurturing environment that is deeply respected by the local
community.
Moments of Joy
Our visit was beyond beautiful. We spent the afternoon playing games, singing and dancing
with the children. Seeing their priceless smiles and feeling their pure happiness was a spiritual
experience that words can hardly capture.
A Helping Hand
To support the incredible work being done at the Ashrama, IKK was honoured to sponsor a
festive lunch for all the children. Additionally, a donation of ₹50,000 was presented to the
management to assist with the children’s ongoing educational expenses.
We return from this visit with full hearts, deeply grateful for the opportunity to share our time
and resources with such wonderful children. We thank God for this beautiful experience and for
the generosity of everyone who made it possible.
