St.Anthony’s Friary Church, Madiwala has distributed food packets to around 35000+ people impacted by Covid19 lockdown

St.Anthony's Seva Nilaya, managed by and situated in the premises of St. Anthony's Friary Church, Madiwala, has been serving food to the needy for the last 15 years.

During the current lockdown due to Covid-19 pandemic, we stopped in-house dining for the recipients. From March 31st, after obtaining necessary permission from the concerned authorities and taking into consideration the safety of our staff, volunteers and the recipients, we started distributing food packets to the hungry, poor, needy locals, migrants and families of patient’s admitted at St. John’s Hospital. We have been distributing around 700 food packs daily along with a bottle of water at noon,all the days of the week during this lockdown.
